I'm thinking about upgrading my power cable for my Zotac 4070 graphics card. Currently, I'm using two 4+4 8-pin connectors that plug into a 12vHPWR splitter, which looks pretty messy. Since I have a Corsair RM750 power supply, I was considering getting a right-angled Corsair 12vHPWR cable to clean things up. However, I've heard some concerning stories about these cables melting. Can anyone share some advice on their safety?

Actually, the Corsair RM750 doesn't have a native 12vHPWR port, so I’m wondering about the necessity of your setup. Using a power supply with a built-in 12vHPWR port is generally safer than relying on adapters. Just something to think about!

Corsair does make standalone 12vHPWR cables that fit older Corsair power supplies. These cables are just as safe as any other, and considering that a 4070 doesn’t pull very much power, I don’t think you’ll have any issues.
