I'm building a PC and I want to download Windows. I've noticed that DROFUS and Ventoy are the main apps for creating bootable USB drives from ISO files, but they have some pretty low ratings—DROFUS has 2.2 stars and Ventoy has 3.9 stars. This makes me wonder if I can trust them. Has anyone used these tools? Are they safe? Also, I tend to feel a bit overwhelmed and paranoid about tech stuff, so any advice would be appreciated!

I recommend just using the Microsoft tool to create your bootable USB. It’s a simple way to avoid any reservations you might have about those other programs. No need to worry about safety with that method!
Ventoy is a solid choice and I've used it a lot without issues. However, if your goal is just to install Windows, you might not even need it. Ventoy is more useful if you want to have multiple ISO files on one USB stick, like installing various Linux versions or Windows. For a straightforward Windows installation, it's best to use the official Windows Media Creation Tool from Microsoft instead.
