Are long USB and HDMI cables a good solution for connecting my PC to the living room?

I'm excited about the new steam machine for playing PC games on my TV in the living room. However, I'm concerned about the overall cost of setting things up. I'm considering using really long cables, around 30 to 50 feet for both HDMI/DP and a USB cable with a splitter at the end for my input devices. Is this a viable option to connect everything directly to my TV?

Yes, using long USB and HDMI cables can work, but there are limitations. The signal quality decreases over longer distances, especially beyond 25 feet for HDMI. You might want to look into extender devices or converters that allow HDMI and USB to transmit over CAT6 cables. They can handle longer distances without losing signal quality, which is great for setups like yours.

Could you share some links or names of these extender devices? It'd be really helpful!
