Are My 7 9800x3D Temperatures Normal?

Hey everyone! I'm a bit concerned about my CPU temperatures and whether my cooler is installed correctly. I have an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 cooler, and when my PC is idling, the temps hover around 42°C. However, during gaming, they spike up to about 50°C, and in more demanding games like InZoi on ultra settings, I saw it shoot up to 80°C. It didn't stay there long, but should I be worried about these temps? What's considered normal? Thanks for any insights!

It really depends on a few factors. What's the ambient temperature in your room? What kind of thermal paste did you use? I have a similar setup and usually idle around 39°C, hitting about 75-80°C under heavy load. It doesn't sound like you're too out of line, but double-check your thermal paste application to ensure it's just right.

My room temp is about 22°C. I used the thermal paste that came with my CPU or cooler; I'll confirm what it is later. I was worried about hitting 80°C since I thought AIO setups should give better temps. Thanks for your input!

Your temps sound pretty normal. As long as you stay below 95°C, you should be fine. Just make sure not to go overboard with thermal paste; too much can make a mess and actually affect cooling.
