I just built my new PC using the X870E Aorus motherboard and the 5080 Master. I'm curious if the temperatures I'm seeing on my 9800X3D are normal—I'm getting around 47-50°C when idle and about 55-60°C while gaming. I have the Kraken Elite AIO liquid cooler, 2024 model. Is this temperature range acceptable?

Just for comparison, the 5800X3D generally hits 90°C, which is also considered within a normal range, so you should be good!

Yeah, those temps are pretty normal! Your idle temps in the 47-50°C range and gaming temps around 55-60°C are definitely acceptable.

Great, thank you! 🙂

Those temps are fine! If you were seeing temps up to 95°C during heavy file installations, that's definitely high, but it shouldn't be a concern for normal use. Also, don't stress too much over needing to consult AI for this—you can find a lot of info online.

Haha, I appreciate it! It was concerning me earlier because I hit those higher temps.

Honestly, I’d steer away from relying on AI chat for everything.

Just a heads up—after I updated my chipsets, my temps increased too, so it's something to keep an eye on.

Your setup seems fine! If you feel worried, check your pump and CPU fan settings. They might be on quiet mode or zero RPM—adjusting them could bring your temps down a bit.

Consider increasing your AIO pump speed if it's set low; it might help keep temps more stable, especially if you're idling at those temps.
