Hey everyone! I recently built a gaming PC with a 5090 and a 9950x3d and I've been gaming mostly on Marvel Rivals at 1080p with everything set to low for performance, plus DLSS on and capped to my monitor's 240 Hz. I noticed that during gameplay, my CPU usage hovers around 19-27%, but my temperatures are between 60-70 degrees Celsius. This seems a bit high considering the low workload. However, when I'm in the menus, my CPU utilization drops down to 4-10% and temperatures are around 45-49 degrees Celsius.
I've heard some talk about AIO coolers possibly being too tight, which could cause overheating, but I don't remember applying much force when I mounted it. My GPU is doing fine, running at about 60% utilization and staying at 37-41 degrees Celsius.
Given these temperatures and usages, are my CPU temps within a normal range for what I'm playing? If my temps seem high, should I take off my AIO, clean the thermal paste (it's freshly applied using a pea-sized dot), and remount it? If I do, how should I tighten it to avoid any issues? I want to ensure I'm not making mistakes with the installation! Also, to note, my case is a Fractal Meshify 3 XL with a solid fan setup. Thanks for any insights!

Your CPU temps are actually pretty normal, especially for 1080p gaming. Keep in mind that 1080p can put more load on the CPU compared to higher resolutions, as it usually relies more on the CPU for processing frames. So don’t stress too much about those temps; they’re within a safe range!
Got it! So even though I'm seeing 60-70 while playing, that's not something to worry about? What about if I upgrade to 1440p later on?
