I'm experiencing temperatures between 70-80°C while gaming, and it's hitting as high as 85°C sometimes. I've got my CPU load set to 'lite load' at 3, and the enhanced turbo is off. I'm using a be quiet! Pure Rock Slim 2 cooler. Are these temperatures too high for my setup?

Your cooler might be a bit underwhelming, especially for a 14th gen i5. I recommend considering an upgrade to a dual-fan cooler for better performance. If you're looking for budget options, the Peerless Assassin 120 is good, but for the best performance, look into AIO coolers if your case can handle it.
Honestly, while your temps are high, they're not alarming. If you're okay with the noise level, you can just enjoy your PC as is. Your cooler isn’t the best, but 85°C isn't too bad for a gaming load. If you want to improve, think about undervolting; this CPU tends to respond well to that.
85°C is actually within normal limits for this CPU. It can operate safely up to 100°C, so don't worry too much unless you hear any unusual noises or experience instability.
You might want to check the thermal paste application on your CPU. If it's not applied properly, it could affect your cooling efficiency.
For just $54, you could try the Thermalright Frozen Notte. I have it on my overclocked setup, and it keeps my temps under control even at higher loads. Might be worth checking out!
