I'm building my first PC and trying to make sure I've chosen decent specs within my budget of 900 AUD. Here's what I have so far:
- PSU: Thermaltake Litepower GEN2 450w
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600 (comes with the Wraith cooler)
- GPU: MSI RTX 3050 VENTUS
- SSD: Kingston NV3 1TB
- Motherboard: B550M
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 16x2
- Case: NZXT H6 Flow
I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice. Thanks!

Honestly, for the price you’re paying, you might be better off with the RX 6600. The 3050's price-to-performance ratio isn't great right now, so it might not serve you well in the long run.
I'd recommend looking into an MSI A520M Pro board instead, along with some cheaper RAM—basically, any 3200/16 or 3600/18 would work. A better PSU is also important for stability and a solid SSD for similar pricing. If you can swing it, saving up for a 4060 would be wise, as it provides much better performance.
Also, check how much VRAM your GPU has. Depending on the games you play, having 6 or 8 GB may not be enough anymore. Ensure your PSU can support your choice of GPU, too!
It looks like you might want to rethink your GPU choice. The RTX 3050 doesn't offer great value for what you're paying. The RX 6600 is a lot faster and usually just a bit more expensive. Also, Corsair RAM can be overpriced, so consider other brands that offer similar specs for less. Oh, and your PSU is a bit iffy; I’d recommend replacing it if you can, as it's not very reliable.
