Hey everyone! I'm a bit concerned about whether my cooler is properly installed based on the temperatures I'm seeing. I'm using an Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 cooler and I think I might have applied a little too much thermal paste, as some leaked out. Currently, my CPU temps are around 42 degrees Celsius when idle, and they go up to about 50 during gaming. However, I noticed that in a more demanding game like InZoi on ultra settings, the temp spiked to 80 degrees, although it didn't stay there for long. Should I be worried about this temperature, or are these readings normal? Thanks for any insights!

Everything looks normal to me. You should also consider your room's ambient temperature and your airflow setup. My setup is similar, and I idle around 39°C and hit around 75-80°C under heavy loads, like running Prime95. Just make sure you applied the thermal paste properly, ideally using a spreader to get an even layer.
Yeah, your temperatures are in the normal range. The 9800x3d can show different temps due to how the IOD is designed. If you want to get better readings, try using HWinfo for more accuracy, though some users find it finicky.
Your temps seem completely fine! Anything below 95°C is generally okay for CPUs. Just keep in mind that too much thermal paste can make things messy, so a thin layer is usually best.
