After my technical interview, I got assigned a take-home assessment, which I need to present during my final interview. I can't really speak for the job market in the Philippines, but from what I've seen in the US, take-home assessments are becoming less common. Many hiring managers worry about the risk of applicants getting outside help and aren't sure if they can trust what they see in those assignments. It feels like quite a leap of faith to rely on those assessments these days!
That makes sense! I did a live coding assessment for my tech interview, and then got the take-home assignment afterward.
