I bought a CyberPowerPC last year and want to start upgrading it. My current system has a Ryzen 5 5500, a Radeon RX 6500 XT, an MSI B550M-VC WiFi motherboard, and 32GB of DDR4 Ripjaws memory. I'm considering upgrading to a Radeon RX 9070 XT and a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. I also plan to replace the power supply before installing the new graphics card. Is this a sensible upgrade path, and is there anything else I should check first?

That’s a reasonable upgrade plan, but the graphics card should make the biggest difference by far. Your Ryzen 5 5500 is still usable, so you could install the new GPU first and see whether the performance meets your expectations before spending money on a CPU upgrade. Also, don’t reuse the unbranded 600W power supply—replace it with a quality unit that has enough capacity and the correct connectors for the RX 9070 XT.
