I inherited some brand new parts from my cousin to complete my PC build, and I'm trying to decide if they're worth keeping. I'm looking to play games like Rainbow Six and also handle some administrative tasks with this setup. Here's what I already have:

- Corsair RM550x power supply
- MSI B450 Tomahawk Max motherboard
- G.Skills Ripjaws DDR4 16GB RAM
- Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition CPU cooler
- Corsair 275R Airflow case

And here are the listed parts my cousin suggested:
- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X CPU
- Samsung 970 Evo 1TB SSD
- MSI Ventus 2X Plus GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card

Are these good choices, or should I consider making any adjustments?

The Ryzen 7 5700X is an excellent choice for gaming on AM4; either this or the Ryzen 5 5600X would serve you well. Just a heads-up though, the RTX 5060 Ti might not be the best option, especially since the 5600 XT and 9060 XT with 16GB are performing similarly. Also, avoid the 8GB version of the 5060 Ti since it limits performance in modern games.

With the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, you've got a solid base. Make sure you have an older Ryzen CPU from the 2000 or 3000 series to update the BIOS for compatibility with the 5700X. The Hyper 212 cooler should handle the low TDP just fine. As for the RAM, if your G.Skills are a 2x8GB kit, you're good; otherwise, grab another matching one for dual-channel. The Samsung 970 Evo SSD is top-notch for fast loads and will be a great choice for your OS and games.
