I've just assembled my new PC, but I'm facing an issue where the DRAM light stays on and it won't post when I start it. I took the CPU cooler off to investigate and noticed some unusual alignment in the socket pins. Can anyone tell me if those pins are bent and if they could be the reason for the DRAM light being on?

It's pretty easy to spot if a pin is bent when you compare it to the others—it should be pretty vertical. Just take care when straightening them out. Also, the DRAM light might come on due to memory training during the first boot, so don’t worry if it happens. Just keep an eye on the BIOS settings as you boot.
Yes, those definitely look like bent pins. If you have a pair of tweezers, you might be able to carefully straighten them back into position. Just be gentle!
For sure, those are bent pins! When you reassemble, try not to tighten the CPU cooler completely right away. Just snug it down and then loosen it by a quarter turn to avoid putting too much pressure on the pins.
Looks like you might be in trouble, but if you’re steady-handed, you could fix them! Just take your time with it.
I can't really tell which way to bend them back, though. Any tips?
