I'm curious about how you all feel about switching cloud providers for work. Specifically, would you consider starting to learn Azure from scratch if you already have a few years of experience with AWS and some certifications? I'm looking at moving from Amazon EKS to Azure AKS and deploying using Terraform. Also, just to share, I had an unsettling experience recently where I almost got hit by a car while out for a walk—so please be careful out there!

For sure, being flexible and willing to learn is key in this field. Plus, the transition isn't as hard as it seems. If you can handle AWS, you can handle Azure and vice versa!
If a job requires learning Azure, I would do it without hesitation. Most companies value adaptability, and being knowledgeable in multiple clouds just makes you more marketable!
Absolutely! As long as the pay is good, why not? Besides, it’s all part of the job to keep learning new things.
Absolutely! It's totally doable to switch from AWS to Azure, especially considering they have similar principles. Many people I know have made that leap and ended up making more money for knowing both. Plus, with your AWS background, you'd be picking up Azure in no time!
It'll definitely help your resume to have both under your belt. They mostly just have different names for things but the core concepts are pretty much the same!
Yeah, I switched from AWS to Azure and I'm making it work. Sure, there's a learning curve, but it's not like starting from zero. Your existing knowledge gives you a strong advantage.
Totally agree! You’ll find that many principles overlap. Just dive in, and don't worry too much about the details right away.
If the job requires it, you kind of have to be willing, right? Like, all cloud platforms have similar functionalities, it’s just the specifics that change. I'd go for it!
Exactly! At the end of the day, they’re all just platforms for similar services. You'll adjust quickly.
Exactly! Learning a new provider is just about understanding the different APIs, and the core skills transfer over pretty smoothly.
