Azure VMs in East US Are Failing – Anyone Else Experiencing This?

I've just had around 10 Azure VMs going down, showing issues like being unable to connect to disks or just sitting in a failed state. I noticed a service health event and I'm curious if this is going to affect more VMs and if anyone else is currently feeling the impact?

Looks like there was a power failure at the East US data center, which affected several network devices and caused some virtual machines and services to go offline. Multiple teams are working on getting things back up and running, with updates expected pretty soon.

I see things are slowly coming back online from what I've noticed.

Yeah, I’m getting a ton of notifications too. It seems like more VMs are going down as time passes. We might have to consider our disaster recovery plans soon, but it’s midnight for our customers in the US East region. I’ve handed this over to the on-call tech to keep an eye on things.

I had one VM showing as down even though the portal said it was running. Tried deallocating it to restart, but that failed after about 45 minutes. Luckily, the other VMs seem fine for now. Just crossing my fingers. I’m in East US too.
