I recently bought a 3070ti from my friend at a great price, but I just discovered that it only has 8GB of VRAM. I do a lot of gaming and I'm also working with LLMs, which require at least 12GB of VRAM for effective performance. Can anyone recommend a GPU that can match the gaming performance of the 3070ti while offering more VRAM?

You might want to check out the RTX 4070 if you can find a used one. It's a solid option and should offer great performance with more VRAM.
Just pick the best GPU that fits your budget. Any current-gen card, or even a previous gen with at least 12GB of VRAM, will likely give you the performance you need. If your budget allows for it, aim for 16GB. Just a heads up, if you need CUDA or want features like DLSS, sticking with Nvidia is your best bet.
Thanks for the tip! Someone mentioned the 7700XT and 7800XT as alternatives. Are those Nvidia features really worth it?
