I'm building a new setup after a long break from computers, using an iBUYPOWER prebuilt system that has two M.2 PCIe Gen4 slots. Currently, one slot is taken up by a 1TB SSD that has the operating system installed, and I've added a 12TB HDD for archiving files. I'm in the market for a second SSD to serve as media storage primarily for Jellyfin and some old music rips. I might also use it for casual gaming, specifically looking at Forza Horizon 6.
I've narrowed down my options to a few 2TB SSDs, being cautious about the budget around $200-$250. Here are my potential picks:
1. Patriot Viper VP4300 Lite M.2 PCIe Gen 4 x4 2TB SSD
2. Like New WD_BLACK SN7100 M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 4.0 x4 3D NAND
3. Crucial P310 2TB 2280 PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD
There's also the Acer Predator GM7 2TB SSD, which is a bit over my budget but I'm wondering if the extra cost is worth it. I'm not up to speed on the latest technology, so I'd really appreciate some insight to help me make a good choice!

Honestly, just go for the cheapest option. The performance differences between them are pretty negligible for what you're planning to use it for. If it were me, I'd lean towards Western Digital or Crucial since they've got a good reputation for reliability.

I appreciate the advice! Would the "Like New" status on the WD drive concern you? It's my first time considering a used SSD, and I’m curious if it might impact performance.
