I'm planning to finally upgrade my old RX 570 during the Cyber Monday sales and want some advice on what to get. I want to stick with AMD to match my 5600X CPU that I installed last year. My goal is to run modern games decently—I'm not looking for ultra-settings or perfect framerates. Ideally, I want something with at least basic ray-tracing capabilities for upcoming titles like the Indiana Jones game. My budget isn't huge, so I'm focused on getting the best performance for the money without upgrading too soon again.
Also, I've never upgraded a GPU before, so I'd appreciate tips on compatibility. My current setup includes a GameMax GP500 PSU, a GameMax Chroma ATX Mid-Tower case, and a Gigabyte GA-A320M-s2h v1.x motherboard.

The best bang for your buck is definitely the 9060XT, but if that’s over your budget, let me know what you're looking to spend. Also, make sure to check if it’ll be compatible with your motherboard, which should be fine with most newer GPUs. Regarding the PSU, definitely consider upgrading that to a reputable brand to avoid any issues.
Honestly, I wouldn't trust that PSU. Yours is quite old, and some people consider Gamemax PSUs a fire hazard. I recommend getting a new, reliable brand as well as your new GPU. If you’re set on value, I’d look at the 9060XT with 16GB for around $350, but let us know your exact budget for more tailored suggestions.
That sounds alarming! How so? I’ve had mine for seven years and it hasn’t given me problems yet.
Gamemax PSUs have a sketchy reputation; better to be safe and upgrade it when you get your new GPU.
I was in a similar boat and decided on the 6700XT, which is a solid choice. The 6750XT is also good if you can find it at a reasonable price; I got my 6700XT for around 300 euros about a year ago, and now it’s even cheaper, like 200 euros. I paired it with a 5800X3D and it runs most games at high framerates at 1080p. Just keep in mind that if you have a decent budget, the 9060XT is even better, but it costs a bit more. You should really think about upgrading your PSU too for better reliability, though; even if your current one powers it fine, you want something reputable.
Thanks for your input! I'm based in the UK and saw the 9060 is around £325, which feels like the upper limit for me. I noticed a lot of 6700XT options are used—do you think it's safe to buy secondhand? I've heard some can be dodgy due to past heavy use, like crypto mining.
I’d be cautious with secondhand GPUs, especially from the mining era. They can be unreliable, so if you can find a new or refurbished one, that might be the safer route.

Thanks for the tip! I'm not too familiar with PSUs. What brands do you recommend, and what should I expect to pay for a good one?
