Hey everyone! I'm diving into building my first PC and I'm aiming for a setup that can run War Thunder at 1440p with good graphics. I'm hoping to keep the total cost under 1000€. Here's what I've picked out so far:
- AMD Ryzen 5 5600
- GeForce RTX 5060 8GB
- ASUS Prime B550M motherboard (needs WiFi)
- 2x8GB DDR4 RAM
- 1TB SSD
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this build and whether it can handle my gaming needs. Thanks!

For 1440p gaming, I'd recommend getting a GPU with more than 8GB of VRAM. Aim for 12GB at least, or ideally 16GB for the best performance. Keep in mind that War Thunder is pretty CPU-intensive, so if you can upgrade your CPU, that’s a good idea. The rest of your build looks solid for a beginner! And 16GB of RAM will allow you to enjoy most games without issue. A 1TB SSD is a decent choice, too!

If I stick with the same CPU but swap for a GeForce RTX Ti, would that be sufficient, or should I get a better CPU as well? And is DDR5 significantly better than DDR4, or would it just be overkill for my budget?
