I'm on the hunt for a decent GPU that costs under £300, ideally with 12GB of VRAM, specifically for playing Oblivion. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5 5600X, a GTX 1050, and 16GB of RAM. I haven't found any benchmarks yet, and I'm considering options like the Intel Arc, AMD, and NVIDIA RTX series, but I'm uncertain if the RTX models are worth the extra cash. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

My friend recently picked up a 6750XT for around 300 euros, which is close to your budget. It should handle Oblivion well, so you might want to consider that one if you can find it nearby.
If you can settle for 8GB of VRAM, I got my 4060 for under £300. It runs Oblivion pretty smoothly on a 1080p setup with my i5-11400. While I think something above 8GB would be better for future-proofing, the 4060 does fine on medium settings. Just a heads up though, the 6750XT might be tougher to find under £300 now, it’s closer to £400 nowadays, and the 6750 isn’t as reliable without DLSS support.
You're welcome! The Arc could be a good pickup, especially if you're looking for that extra VRAM, but just be sure to check its performance in games you're interested in.
Thanks for the tip! I usually stick to 1080p and was looking at the 12GB options for future games like RDR2 and Cyberpunk. Do you think the Intel Arc around £250 is a solid choice?
