I'm on the hunt for a budget-friendly laptop for homeschooling that can run older educational games from the 90s. Nostalgia kicks in as I remember starting my gaming journey in DOS at just two years old! It would be amazing to share those classic games with my daughter. I'm fine with using an external CD drive, but having a built-in one would be a bonus. Ideally, the laptop should run the latest version of Windows. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

For those older games, I'd recommend looking for a laptop with an AMD processor. I have one with an 8th Gen Intel and 12GB of RAM, but it really struggles with games that initially required far less power. AMD tends to perform better for gaming overall.
What's your budget looking like?
I'm aiming for something cheaper, ideally around $350, with a maximum cap of $500.
Yeah, honestly modern AMD chips surpass Intel in gaming performance these days.
