Best Coolers for Ryzen 7 5800X: Recommendations Needed

Hey everyone! I'm new to PC building and I need some advice on cooling solutions for my Ryzen 7 5800X. Right now, I'm using a pretty basic Arctic Alpine 23 cooler, but my CPU tends to run really hot, peaking at 91°C when gaming. I'm considering upgrading my cooler and my budget is around £130. I'm a bit scared of liquid cooling since I don't really understand how it works, so I'm mostly looking for air cooling options. Additionally, do you think it would help to just add more fans to my case and stick with my current cooler? For reference, I've got an ASUS ROG Strix X570-F motherboard and a DeepCool Macube 550 case. Thanks a million for your help!

If you're leaning towards an upgrade, the Arctic Liquid Freezer III in 360mm or 280mm versions is fantastic! The 360mm gives you slightly better cooling, but both are solid choices for keeping your CPU chill. Just a heads up, it does require a bit more setup than air coolers, so make sure you're ready for that.

I hear you on the liquid cooling fears! They can be intimidating, but once you set it up, they perform like a champ. Just make sure to read through some guides online!

The Ryzen 5800X does run hot, but you can definitely manage those temps! Have you tried adjusting the fan settings in your BIOS? Sometimes they don't automatically ramp up as you'd expect. Just a little tweak could help a lot! Also, the Noctua NH-U12S is a solid air cooler. You might want to consider setting it up in a push-pull configuration with an extra fan for better airflow.

I agree! The Noctua is a great option, especially if you add that extra fan. It keeps things cool without being crazy loud. Definitely worth it!

If you're looking for something under 130, the Noctua NH-U12S is a killer choice. I paired mine with an extra fan and it's done wonders for my temps. It's quiet and effective, which is a win-win!

The 5800X is definitely a hot one! My setup with a 240 AIO has been working like a dream for years. It keeps my temps low even under heavy loads. Just be aware that installation can be a bit tricky if you're not used to it.

Yeah, but once you've got it down, you'll love the performance! Plus, it looks pretty slick too.
