Best CPU and Motherboard Upgrade for My RTX 5070?

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and motherboard to go along with my new RTX 5070, which I got for a great price of 480€. My current setup includes a Z490M motherboard and an i7-10700K, but I feel like it's time for an upgrade since they seem a bit outdated. I want to stick with DDR4 RAM for now as DDR5 is pretty expensive. I've seen the Ryzen 5 9600X suggested, but I'm open to other options. My budget is around 300-400€, and I usually game at 1080p with a 240Hz refresh rate.

You might want to look for a used 12th or 14th Gen Intel CPU or a Ryzen 5000 series processor like the 5800X. Just make sure the motherboard you get is compatible with DDR4 to stick to your budget. That should give you a good boost without breaking the bank!

I'd recommend the i5-14600K along with a B760 DDR4 board. It’s a solid upgrade and should give you plenty of room for future graphics card upgrades. Plus, it'll perform well for 1080p gaming!

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm leaning towards that CPU now.
