Best CPU for Gaming and Video Editing with Current Setup?

I'm looking to upgrade my CPU from an i5-9400F to something better for both gaming and video editing. I have an RTX 4070 Ti and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I've found a used Ryzen 5800X for under £100 and I'm considering it, but I'm also wondering if I should go for a newer Intel 12th or 13th gen CPU for more cores, which might help with video editing. What's the best option?

The 5800X for around $100 is a fantastic deal! I've got one in my rig and it handles everything from AAA games to light 1080p video editing like a champ. It pairs well with my 5070 and 32GB RAM, making for a pretty balanced setup overall.

Have you thought about the 5950X? It offers a great mix for both gaming and productivity, giving you plenty of cores for editing.

Yeah, but isn't cooling something to consider with that one? I have a Corsair RM750X PSU; would that handle it?
