Best CPU for Heavy Simulations on a Z690 Motherboard?

Hey everyone! I originally built my PC for gaming, VR, and architecture, but lately, I've been getting really into large particle simulations. Unfortunately, my Core i7 13700KF just isn't cutting it for these complex simulations, especially when I'm trying to run molecular particle sims in Blender with hundreds of thousands of particles. My system keeps crashing, and I think my CPU is bottlenecking my 4080 GPU too. I'm looking to upgrade my CPU with a budget of around $1000, and it needs to be compatible with my MSI Z690 motherboard. Any recommendations?

The Intel i9 14900K might be a solid choice for your needs. It's powerful and should handle those massive simulations without too much trouble. It's got great performance, especially for tasks like the ones you're doing!
