I'm currently using a Radeon 5600XT with an Asus TUF B550 Wifi II motherboard and a 650W power supply. My goal is to upgrade my CPU without worrying about needing another upgrade for several years. I primarily play open-world single-player games like Grand Theft Auto and Cyberpunk on a 1080p 144Hz display. My budget for this CPU upgrade is up to $200. Which CPUs would be best for this setup and future-proof my gaming experience?

The 5700X3D and 5800X3D are excellent, but they're at a higher price point. I suggest going for the 5800X if it’s within your budget—it’s a very strong performer for gaming and should have no issue keeping up with your 5600XT for the time being.
For a balance between price and performance, check out the Ryzen 5 5600 or 5800X. They both offer strong gaming performance, especially at 1080p. The 5800X is a bit faster if you can find it around $150, which is a decent deal right now.
I just saw the 5800X is on Amazon for $150! Throwing in the Wraith Prism cooler is a nice bonus too.
If you're set on staying with your current setup for a while, I suggest looking at the Ryzen 7 5700X. It's a solid choice that works really well with high-end GPUs and should keep you satisfied for years. If that's too pricey, the Ryzen 5 5600X would be a good alternative.
That 5700X sounds great, but it's a bit on the expensive side for me. I think the 5600X will do fine for 1080p gaming at 60fps.
With my 650W PSU, do I have enough power for the 5800X? I worry it might be close.
