I'm looking to buy an RX 7800 XT for my new build and I'm unsure about which CPU would pair nicely without causing any bottlenecks. I've seen suggestions for the Ryzen 5 9600X, but I've read that it might not be powerful enough. A bottleneck calculator even indicated that it could be too weak for this GPU. What do you all think?

That combo sounds solid! Honestly, you can usually ignore those bottleneck calculators—they're not always accurate. The 9600X is a good match and shouldn't bottleneck the 7800 XT in most gaming scenarios.
Totally agree! Bottleneck calculators often give misleading info. In most cases, the 9600X won’t drag the performance down when paired with the 7800 XT.
You're on the right track! The 9600X is actually better than the 7600X, so it wouldn’t bottleneck the RX 7800 XT either. However, it really depends on the games you play, since some are more CPU-intensive than others.
Keep in mind, it all depends on the workload. Every system has some bottlenecks under specific conditions. Some games will mostly use the GPU, while others will favor the CPU. So check benchmarks based on the games you enjoy to see how well they perform with your desired combo.
What CPU are you currently using?
Is it the R5 3600? Because honestly, it doesn't matter much since you’re building a new rig. That CPU would still put up a decent fight with the 7800 XT.
