I have an MSI BP550 Pro motherboard paired with 4 DDR4 Corsair RAM sticks, a Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. I'm looking to boost my FPS and image quality in gaming but I'm not well-versed in CPUs. I've heard that upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600X is a good option, but I'm interested in something that would provide even more performance than the 5600X. Any recommendations?

I’d recommend going for the Ryzen 7 5700X or the 5800X3D. They outperform the Ryzen 5 5600X quite a bit. Just make sure your motherboard supports these CPUs before upgrading!
You should definitely consider the Ryzen 7 5700X or the 5800X3D. Both of these CPUs will give you a solid performance boost compared to the Ryzen 5 5600X.
Would I need a liquid cooler for those, or is my current CPU fan sufficient?
I’m worried about compatibility issues with my GPU. Will those CPUs work without lowering the performance?
