Best CPUs for Achieving Stable 240+ FPS in Counter-Strike 2

I'm looking to either build or upgrade my PC specifically for Counter-Strike 2. My main goal is to have a system that can consistently deliver 240 FPS or higher, especially during real matches, which include fights, smokes, and utility use, rather than just in empty benchmark scenarios. I plan on playing with a 4:3 stretched resolution and using low competitive settings on a 240Hz monitor. I'm particularly focused on the CPU, so I'd like to know:

1) What CPU are you currently using?
2) Are you truly getting stable 240+ FPS during actual matches?
3) Is there a noticeable difference between Intel and Ryzen processors, especially the X3D models?
4) Any important considerations regarding RAM speed or motherboard choice?

I'm seeking genuine experiences regarding maintaining high FPS rather than just "it runs fine" responses. Thanks!

For CS2, I’d highly recommend the AMD 7800X3D or 9800X3D. They really shine when it comes to maintaining those high frame rates. If you're serious about performance and the budget allows, the 9850X3D is a fantastic choice as well. The advantages of the X3D lineup over the non-X3D are pretty significant in gaming conditions.

You’re right to focus on CPU. CS2 tends to be CPU-bound, especially at 1080p low settings. A solid mid-to-high-end CPU can keep you around 240 FPS or much higher, especially if paired with a decent GPU like an RTX 4060. AMD's 3D V-Cache really promotes smooth gameplay for competitive settings, so it might be worth considering.

As someone who's played for over a decade, hitting ~240 FPS isn't overly hard with 4:3 stretched and low settings. Even a basic 6th or 7th gen Intel could manage that, but keeping it stable is the trick. Simple raw power isn’t enough; you have to consider other factors like L3 cache, microarchitecture, and heat management. I'd suggest an Intel i5-12th gen or AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or better for getting those consistent frame rates.
