Best GPU and CPU Upgrade for Gaming on a Budget?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my current setup, which is an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and an Nvidia 2060. My primary games are Counter Strike 2 and World of Warcraft, so I want a setup that gives me great performance and smooth gameplay without going overboard—like I don't need a 5090. My budget is around $1000. Also, I play at 1080p, and I'm considering upgrading my entire system based on the CPU and GPU combo I choose. Any recommendations? Thanks!

If you're aiming for a potential upgrade to 1440p in the future, consider the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 9070XT. It's a bit overkill, but the total would be around $1000. If you're strictly sticking to $1000 for the whole build, I'd suggest the Ryzen 7 7700 with a 9060XT 16GB to perform excellently at 1440p and still leave room for the rest of your components. Just make sure to get a good PSU and some decent CL30 RAM!

A solid choice could be the Ryzen 7 5700X3D paired with the AMD 9070XT. This combo should fit well within your budget, and the good news is you probably won’t need to upgrade your motherboard or RAM either.

Just a heads up, AMD has launched the Ryzen 5 5500X3D recently. It pairs well with the RTX 5070, which could be a great option if you can find them at a reasonable price!
