Hey everyone, I'm looking for advice on the most powerful GPU that my Ryzen 5 3600 paired with a stock cooler can handle effectively. I was thinking it might be a good strategy to upgrade my GPU first, before moving on to the motherboard and CPU. Does this sound like a good plan?

If you're looking for the strongest GPU, I’d suggest the 5090 if you're planning to spend big, but make sure it fits your setup's power and thermal needs.

Your stock cooler can work, but for better performance, consider a cheaper tower cooler. For GPUs, something like a 6800 XT or a used 2070/3060 can work well without major bottlenecks with the 3600.

The cooling solution won't impact your GPU compatibility. Just define your budget and aim for the best GPU within that budget that your system can support. Remember, your CPU will also need to keep up with the GPU you choose for optimal performance!

Yeah, especially if you're gaming at high settings, the Ryzen 5 could hit 100% usage while the GPU stays relatively low. Balance is key!

Running a stock cooler for gaming isn't ideal due to temperature management. You can find some good air coolers for around $20 that might help you out a lot more during gaming sessions.
