Best GPU Upgrade for 1080p Gaming: Need Your Advice!

Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and want your input on the best options for my setup since I'm gaming at 1080p on a 180Hz monitor. I mainly play competitive shooters but also enjoy some AAA games. Here's my current build:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
- GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime B450M-A II
- Storage: 1TB NVMe
- PSU: Corsair CX650 (80+ Bronze, 650W)

What I'm after is smooth performance in modern games, being able to max out at 1080p with high FPS (144-180 ideally), and a bit of future-proofing for upcoming titles. I'm not planning on upgrading my CPU, just the GPU.

Currently, I'm considering the RTX 4070 Super, as it seems to be a great sweet spot. Would that work well with my rig? Or are there better alternatives that wouldn't bottleneck with my current setup? Thanks for your help!

You might want to look at the 5060 ti or 5070—they're probably the sweet spot for what you're after. Just keep an eye out for an MSRP card, one might pop up soon. Another solid option is the 7800xt for around $500 or less. Of those three, I really like the 7800xt, but the 5070 for $549 isn't bad either, though it is unfortunate they skimped on the RAM.

Appreciate the suggestions! I’ll definitely keep an eye out for those, just trying to find the best bang for my buck right now lol. Cheers!
