Best Graphics Card Upgrade for My System Under $500?

I'm looking to upgrade my older PC that currently has a GTX 1060 6GB and is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 2600x CPU, which I'm also planning to upgrade to a 5600x. I want to know what graphics cards would be a direct swap without any issues, especially since I'd like to keep the total under $500, or ideally around $350. I'm open to both AMD and Nvidia options, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

When you say "direct swap," it’s good to specify what you mean! Also, what’s your power supply wattage?

Forget about worrying too much on "direct swaps" or possible bottlenecks! Just aim to get the best GPU you can afford. If the 4060 fits your budget, it’s a solid choice. Just make sure you check its power requirements against your PSU! Here's a link that shows the performance levels of various GPUs: [Tom's Hardware GPU Hierarchy](https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388-2.html).

Thanks for the info!

For your budget, I’d suggest going with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. Just keep in mind that your older CPU might limit performance a bit, but this card will set you up nicely for future upgrades.
