Hey everyone! I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place for my question, but here goes. I'm looking to buy an HDMI switcher for my PS5 so I can connect it to both my monitor (which supports 1440p at 165Hz) and my TV (which supports 4K at 60Hz) at the same time. My main concern is whether an HDMI switcher will prevent me from playing in 1440p at 120Hz on my monitor. Is there a specific kind of switcher that will let me do both—1440p for my monitor and 4K for my TV? I really appreciate any guidance you can provide!

You can definitely find HDMI splitters that support 4K at 120Hz on Amazon without too much trouble. Just make sure to get one that has switching capabilities so you can easily switch between your monitor and TV. A typical switcher might not work for your needs, as they usually expect one input going to multiple outputs, not the other way around. So find one that allows you to switch two inputs into one output! Good luck!
Thanks for the tip! Just to clarify, I don’t plan to use both at the same time. I just want both devices connected so I can switch between playing on the TV and monitor whenever I want. Would a splitter suffice for that?
