We're planning a big move from Dropbox to Google Drive due to budget cuts that led to the discontinuation of our Dropbox account. We have around 25TB of data to transfer to our existing Google Workspace account, which offers unlimited storage. I know there's a 750GB daily upload limit for Google Drive uploads, so I'm expecting this migration will take some time. Has anyone out there experienced a similar large-scale migration? What's the most reliable way to handle this?

Another idea is to use a Synology NAS with a couple of 20TB drives. You can set up Cloud Sync, and since the 750GB/day limit applies per user, you can leverage all the user accounts that have access to shared drives. This way, you could potentially transfer a lot more each day, depending on your internet connection. Plus, I've found that for large transfers, getting data onto a NAS and then syncing it up to Google Drive over a few weeks works well. You can keep using the NAS as your main file source during the whole process, making it easier to manage.
I’ve had good luck with rClone for transfers like this. It’s a command-line tool, but it allows for a lot of flexibility and control over the upload process. It's really handy if you're comfortable with a bit of scripting and command-line work.
One option you might want to consider is using a Google Transfer Appliance. It's pretty straightforward: they send you the appliance, you connect it, transfer your files to it, and then ship it back. It's designed for large data migrations and really helps speed things up.
