Best Monitor Options for My New PC Build

I recently built a new PC and I'm on the lookout for a good monitor that won't break the bank. Here's what I have: an R5 9600x processor and an XFX 309 RX 6700 GPU (I use DisplayPort for connections). I've got 32GB of Crucial DDR5-6000 RAM. I'm really aiming for a 1440p monitor, preferably around 27" or a 34" curved one. Space is tight, so a single large monitor is better for me compared to dual monitors. I'm not too experienced with different monitor technologies like OLED or UHD, so I could really use some advice on what's worth the price vs. what's just a money trap. My budget is around $350 USD. I've done some research, but I'm still a bit confused about the various screen types.

For gaming, I suggest considering a 34" 1440p ultra-wide monitor; they offer a fantastic field of view! You can get a couple of IPS monitors for the price of one OLED, so keep that in mind. The VG34VQL1B could be a great fit for your needs—plenty of screen space for multitasking! Let me know if you need help finding other models that fit your budget.

Totally agree on the ultra-wide! The VG34VQL1B looks solid, but you might also want to check out the LG 34GN850-B. It’s a bit pricier, but it’s known for great color accuracy.

Just so you know, UHD stands for Ultra High Definition, which is the same as 4K. It's not a type of screen like OLED, so don’t get confused by that terminology!

What refresh rate are you aiming for? LG has some decent options like the 27 inch or 32 inch 4K displays that can go up to 144Hz. I use the LG 32UQ750 myself, and it's been a great primary display at 144Hz. Just be aware of prices; I spotted the 27 inch going for around 260€ on sale once. You might be able to find something similar.

I'm looking for 144Hz to 165Hz. I had a monitor that hit 165Hz over DP. Those LG models are nice, but I might need to adjust my budget a bit to get them.
