Hey everyone! My girlfriend scored a Ryzen 5 5800X3D for free, and now we're on the hunt for an AM4 motherboard that supports it right out of the box—no BIOS updates needed. We were looking at the B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 but are unsure if it supports the CPU, especially since it came out before the 5800X3D. I've heard there's a V3 version available, but it seems nearly impossible to track down now, and I can't find any X570s either. Thanks for any advice you can give!

Most B550 and X670 motherboards should support the 5800X3D right off the bat, as long as they haven’t been sitting on the shelf for ages. The B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 you’re looking at is a solid choice, and it should be fine!
But isn't X670 for the AM5 socket? We need AM4 for the 5800X3D, right?
