I'm trying to find a suitable power supply for my new RTX 4060 LP GPU. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor and 32 GB of RAM. It's an HP desktop that I bought from Best Buy, but I'm getting mixed suggestions about the wattage I should be looking for. Any recommendations?

Honestly, a fast Google search could give you a solid idea. But from what I've seen, power supplies for the RTX 4060 LP generally range from 500W to 1000W, so opinions might differ. Just check a few sources!

I've seen 500W to 1000W too—trying to figure out who's right.

Since the RTX 4060 LP has a power consumption of 115W, Nvidia suggests a minimum PSU wattage of 300W. If you’re in the US, you can find reliable 500-650W PSUs in the $50-$65 range, and higher-end, A-tier 750W PSUs with great warranties starting around $80.

You should be fine with a 550W PSU. It should handle that GPU easily, and you can still run a decent number of peripherals without issues. Since 750-850W PSUs are only about $50 more, I'd say go for one of those for peace of mind. It might be overkill, but the price difference isn't huge!

It's important to know the rest of your system specs, like storage and any extra components you have. That can really affect the power supply needs!

What other specs should I mention?

This is really like asking what tires to get for your car without sharing the model! More details would help get you better advice.
