I'm interested in picking up Java specifically for modding Minecraft, especially using the Fabric framework. I already have a basic understanding of C++, but I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to programming. What are some good resources or tips to get started?

One of the best ways to learn Java is by getting a good book on it. There are plenty of resources available, and many cover the foundations of Java that you'll need for modding.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I can't really afford books right now. Any cheaper options?
