I'm looking to buy a SATA SSD for storing my games since I don't have an extra slot for an NVMe SSD. I found a Samsung 870 Evo 1TB for £75, but I've heard they might have a high failure rate. Is this true? What alternatives would you recommend? My budget is under £100, and I've noticed the MX500 is more expensive than that.

You can't go wrong with the Samsung or a WD Blue. Or like the other user mentioned, if you’re open to it, look for a PCIe adapter and consider going for another NVMe drive. It's worth thinking about!
I'd recommend checking out Western Digital or Toshiba SSDs. If you ever decide to go for an NVMe, you could use a PCI card that gives you more slots for them. Just throwing that out there!
Thanks! I checked my Dorado 8704 motherboard and, unfortunately, I only have one M.2 slot (already used) and one PCIe slot (also in use). So, I’ll definitely look into the WD Blue SATA SSD. Appreciate the help!
