I'm currently stuck on a project where I need to oversee a cabler who is supposed to do a track and trace job for a floor plan, along with cable testing and mapping out the panel. Unfortunately, after four months, I've hit a wall due to poor project coordination on their end. Now, I need to get a clear project plan in place and encourage them to complete their work.
I'm looking for recommendations on tools that can help me:
- Markup a floor plan with specific cable points (like Telephone, Access Point, Desk 1, etc.).
- Coordinate with the cabler to ensure they follow the drawing and provide cable test results along with the corresponding panel mapping.
I've tried marking things up on paper, but the cabler's project manager seems to consistently mess up any drawing. I don't have AutoCAD, although I do have the CAD file for the affected floor. I need something user-friendly that we can both access to track their progress effectively.

You might want to check out Draw.io or Visio. They can be really useful for visualizing layouts. For specific cases like yours, we also use Netbox for mapping our environment, which might be worth looking into.

I thought Draw.io was more for flowcharts than floor plans. Visio could work, but given the issues you're facing, something more collaborative might be necessary.
