Best Ultrawide/Superultrawide Monitors for High PPI and Color Accuracy?

Asked By BrightStar901 On

I'm currently building a new PC and I'm in the market for an ultrawide or superultrawide monitor. My top priorities are high pixels per inch (PPI) and good color accuracy. Additionally, I'd prefer a refresh rate higher than 60Hz, but anything above that is fine. Also, I'm looking for a curved monitor. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

It really depends on the specs of your PC build, especially your GPU and processor. Knowing your hardware can help narrow down the right monitor for you!

I totally agree! I'm looking for an ultrawide too, and my main need is DisplayPort 2.1 support. I found only one monitor that fits, so I'll be waiting a bit longer to get it.

Check out the new LG 5k2k GX9 monitor; it’s pretty amazing and fits your requirements well.

A regular 3440x1440p 34" ultrawide would be perfect for you if you ask me. Go for a mini LED IPS or OLED, and aim for at least 144Hz. It’s not too demanding on hardware either, so a decent GPU should handle it without issues!

Yep! It's about 60% of the pixel count of 4K, making it easier to run. I’ve had no major issues on my RTX 3080 10GB, but I’d recommend at least 12GB for the best performance.

I've had a 49" ultrawide and have since switched to a 34". Honestly, I found the 34" to be more than enough, and the image isn’t too stretched. I recommend the 34" Odyssey G8 OLED – it's curved, has 175Hz and a .03ms response time! Just make sure to get the glossy screen for that vibrant color kick. Happy hunting!

I feel you on the screen size! I used to have dual 32" monitors and switched to a 34" ultrawide. The OLED screen looks stunning, but I'm missing that screen real estate.
