Best Upgrade from 2080 Ti Within a €700 Budget?

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card from a 2080 Ti because I've been experiencing various issues, including overheating and fan control problems. My budget is around €700, and I'm hoping to find a card that significantly outperforms my current GPU, rather than just a slight improvement. I find it quite confusing to navigate through the available options, especially since the release of the 30 series. I primarily use my PC for gaming, with occasional 3D modeling and Unreal Engine work. I currently have a Ryzen CPU, but I'm considering an AMD CPU upgrade soon to prevent bottlenecking in the future.

I made the mistake of selling my 2080 Ti, don't do it! Clean yours up and keep it as a backup. I upgraded to a 7900XTX, which was my best option at the time, and I've got no regrets. If I were you, I'd look at the 9070XT, 7900XTX, or 5070Ti in that order. Just be aware that the current prices might push those out of your budget. For 3D modeling though, Nvidia might have a slight edge, but times are changing!

I'm definitely keeping the card! Thanks for the heads-up. It might be a fan issue causing the overheating. I think I could grab a 9070XT for around €750, but I'm not sure what prices will look like soon.

For around €700, I'd recommend looking at the Radeon RX 9070. It would be a significant performance boost over your 2080 Ti.

Where can you find a 9070?

You should seriously consider the RX 9070 or 9070XT, and if you can stretch the budget a little, a RTX 5070Ti is another great option. Those are really the top cards in your price range.

You might find a 5070 as a decent choice based on price and availability. The 5060 Ti is marginally better but won't make a huge difference. If you're open to used cards, you might score a mid-high 30 series. However, with AMD cards, you may need to do some cleanup and tweaks, but you could snag a 9070 if they’re restocked soon.

I'd advise against the 5070 right now. Hold off for a month or two and see if prices stabilize; they’ve been quite high lately.

Your upgrade options depend a bit on your current setup. If your CPU isn’t that strong, it might limit your choices a bit.
