Best Upgrades for My Budget PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC step by step since I don't have a huge budget. Right now, I have an AMD Ryzen 3 Pro 3200G with Radeon Vega graphics, a GeForce GTX 1660 Super, and 8GB of RAM (I know it's not the best, but it was a prebuilt). I really need to get an SSD too. I can spend about £300 now and maybe around £500 in a couple of weeks. Any advice on what to upgrade first?

Before you buy anything, check what motherboard and PSU you have since that matters for compatibility. You might have to upgrade those parts depending on what you want to change. But yes, getting a second-hand deal can also be a smart move, so keep an eye on local marketplaces! What games are you planning to run?

If your main use is gaming, consider if you really need that SSD right away. You could even just add another 8GB stick of RAM along with the CPU upgrade to start with. That should improve performance significantly, especially in games like Valorant and Genshin Impact!

I’d suggest upgrading to a better CPU first; something like the Ryzen 5 5600 or 5600X would be a solid choice. Then, increase your RAM to at least 16GB. Once you can budget more later, invest in a second-hand GPU, maybe something like a 3060 or 3070. Finally, grab an SSD with what’s left over. This setup should give you a noticeable performance boost for gaming!
