I'm dog sitting for a couple of weeks and need to bring my gaming PC along with me. I've got the original box for the tower, so packing that shouldn't be a problem. However, I've seen a lot of advice about removing the GPU and I don't have the original packaging for it since I got it from a friend who had it wrapped in foam and taped up. What alternatives can I use to safely transport it for a 45-minute drive? Also, I'm a bit of an overthinker, so I definitely won't just leave it in the car port during the ride.

You could grab an antistatic bag and pad a shoebox—no need to complicate things too much!
Is there any other option besides an antistatic bag? Sorry for panicking but I'm leaving later today.
