Hey everyone,
I'm running into a bit of a snag with our Conditional Access Policy. Has anyone else experienced the issue where blocking Microsoft Teams Services is inadvertently affecting Microsoft Outlook, specifically the 'New Outlook'? I've noticed that while Classic Outlook and Web Outlook function perfectly fine, the New Outlook is getting blocked.
From the sign-in logs of the affected users, it shows that:
- App Name: Microsoft Outlook
- App ID: 5d661950-3475-41cd-a2c3-d671a3162bc1
- Sign in Error: 53003
I'm trying to find a way to exclude New Outlook from being blocked. Ideally, I would prefer if all users were forced to use Classic Outlook, but management insists on allowing access to New Outlook.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you're migrating, it might help to keep the Teams service active. By blocking Teams, users could be confused about which tenant's Teams they should be using. You may want to let them access the target tenant's Teams while preparing for the full migration.
Blocking Teams might raise some questions. Are you doing it to control user access during a migration or for another reason? If you're just migrating users from one tenant to another, you might consider removing the Teams service from their 365 licenses instead of blocking it all together.
