Brave and KDE Connect Forget Settings After Reboot on Arch: Help Needed!

I recently set up Arch Linux for the first time on a low-spec laptop (Intel Celeron 3205U, 4GB RAM, 120GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics) without a desktop environment, just using the i3 window manager. After every reboot, I'm facing an annoying issue: Brave browser forgets all my Google account authorizations, and KDE Connect forces me to re-pair or re-login. Other data like open tabs in Brave and the sync work fine, but it's really frustrating to log into my multiple Gmail accounts every time I start my laptop. Can anyone help me resolve this?

I totally get where you're coming from! I just went through the same transition from Windows to Arch a couple of weeks ago. It was a tough journey to set everything up, but one thing that worked for me was reinstalling Arch using the archinstall script and switching to Hyprland. It's generally a smoother experience on older hardware and doesn’t have the issues you’re facing with Brave and KDE Connect.

It sounds like your issues might be related to the missing keyring that’s needed for saving those permissions. I had the same problem, and after installing and configuring Gnome Keyring, it fixed my authorization issues. I did a minimal install like you, and while it was challenging at first, I finally managed to get most things working. Just as a tip, you might want to check whether Hyprland performs well on your setup since it can be a bit resource-heavy! Let me know how it goes!
