Browsers Not Opening – Need Help!

I've been running into a frustrating problem lately where neither Chrome nor Brave will open on my computer. The only browser that seems to be functioning properly is Opera GX. I found a temporary fix by renaming the EXE files to something like 'Chrome1.exe' and 'Brave1.exe', but this leads to more issues. For instance, if I click a link on a website to open Chrome or Brave, it doesn't work because of the name change. I've also tried a variety of troubleshooting steps, including running a Malwarebytes antivirus scan, disabling my antivirus software, rebooting my computer, updating Windows, and reinstalling Chrome/Brave. I even ran CCleaner! Despite all these efforts, nothing seems to work except for the temporary renaming method. I'm looking for any suggestions that could help resolve this issue once and for all!

Another thing you could try is checking your event logs for any errors that happen when you attempt to open the browsers. This could provide clues as to why they're failing to launch.

I checked the logs but didn't find anything about the failure; only entries appear when I change the file name.

First, can you check which version of Windows you’re running? This might help narrow down the cause of the issue. If you're on Windows 11, there might be specific settings or updates that can help.

Yeah, I’m on Windows 11, but are you asking about the build number or just the version itself?
