Hey everyone! My brother and I are looking to build a new PC with a budget of about €2300, and I could use some advice. We're aiming for solid performance to play AAA games at 1080p on high/ultra settings, and we also want to use it for VR (like VRChat, Beat Saber, Half-Life Alyx) and some 3D rendering in Blender, plus recording and editing 1080p videos. Here are the parts I've chosen:
- Case: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Evo RGB White
- Motherboard: Asus B650E Max Gaming WiFi White (AM5)
- RAM: G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5-6000 CL36
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X (12 cores, Zen 5)
- GPU: MSI RTX 5070 Ti Gaming Trio OC White 16GB GDDR7
- AIO: NZXT Kraken Elite 360
- PSU: Corsair RM850x Shift 850W 80+ Gold
My brother's parts are similar but he picked an RTX 5060 Ti instead. Any thoughts on whether these specs look balanced, or if there are any potential bottlenecks? Thanks in advance!

With that budget, I'd suggest you stick with the 5070 Ti over the 5060 Ti. The 5070 Ti will definitely give you better performance in both gaming and Blender. The Ryzen 9 9900X is a solid choice too; it should work well for your needs. If you can, look for RAM with lower latency (like CL30) for potentially better performance in Blender, though you might not see much difference in gaming. Also, consider not always maxing out settings to ultra in games, as you might not notice a big visual upgrade but it can seriously impact your performance.
I totally agree with BusyBeeGamer77! The 5070 Ti is the way to go for both gaming and rendering. Honestly, I'd recommend upgrading your brother's GPU if you have the budget. Regarding the RAM, it's great for what you're doing, and while CL30 could help in some scenarios, CL36 is still plenty fast. Enjoy your builds!
