Hi everyone, I sold a computer to a guy today. I tested it before selling, and it worked perfectly. Now, he claims that he connected it to his TV and that the TV is broken because of it. Is it even possible for a computer to break a TV? I'm confused about how this could happen.

It sounds like this guy is either trying to scam you or he's clueless about technology. A computer shouldn’t be able to break a TV just by connecting it. He might just be looking for someone to blame for his own mishap. Just ignore him and move on.
LOL, yeah, the only way that computer could break his TV is if he literally smashed it with the PC! Plugging in a cable won't do anything unless he's messing with the wiring. Sounds like a scam to me!
There's a tiny chance that he could've messed up with the connections while he was plugging it in, but that's still on him. If the TV is truly broken, it’s likely due to something he did before connecting your computer.
Exactly, tech issues can be tricky, especially if people don't understand how to set them up. Just ask him for proof and don’t engage further if he can’t provide it.
Honestly, it's highly unlikely that the computer you sold him could cause any damage to his TV. More often than not, users confuse issues with inputs or settings. He might just be tech illiterate and couldn't figure out why his TV wasn’t working after connecting the PC.
Right? I mean, I had to explain to my parents how to switch HDMI inputs multiple times. They thought their devices were broken! This guy could be the same.
Sounds like buyer's remorse or a scam. Once the sale is finished, it's not your responsibility. Just block him if he continues to bother you.
Yeah, I agree! I've had similar situations where people just don't get how inputs and sources work. It's not your problem!
